About
Us
The
Professional Photographers of NW Ohio is committed to bringing local
photographers together to share ideas and become better business
leaders. Our Code Of Conduct
provides the foundation by which we agree to do business as professional
photographers.
Education
The main benefit of membership in PPNO is the opportunity
to learn from the industry's finest and from among ourselves. Our
monthly programs from September through July. Include lectures, and
demonstrations. Membership in PPNO provides the opportunity to meet with
other professionals and learn. On an informal basis you will be able to
exchange new ideas on techniques, equipment and promotions.
Monthly
Meetings
We meet once a month from September through July ..
Our location for the meetings vary this year so we may be close to your
home for one of our monthly meetings. The programs begin at different
times and are presented by visiting
photographers, who are willing to share their knowledge. Come join
us at one of our meetings for free, to see what we are all about.
Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter "Focus" is published to
keep our members current on upcoming events. The newsletter is a great
way for members to exchange ideas as well as having a resource for
numerous vendors.
Resource
Library
An extensive resource library is maintained by the
association for members use . The library
includes instructional information on lighting, portraiture, marketing,
weddings, posing, seniors, even designing a photographic studio. These
video tapes, books, CD's , DVD's and audio tapes are valuable tools in your growth as
a photographer.
Camaraderie
Fellowship and contact with the other photographers from
the area is certainly a great benefit of belonging to PPNO. We have
social events throughout the year which afford the opportunity for you
to know other professionals and competitors on a personal level.
Print
Competition
One of the highlights of the PPNO is our print
competition held in November. This event is a challenge to all who enter and
a positive learning experience. At print competition we learn to improve
our daily work while preparing for state and national competition.
Professional
Photographers of Northwest Ohio Award
This award is presented at the Mid-East States Affiliated
Association Annual exhibition of Professional Photography in Ohio. It is
awarded to the maker of one of the more outstanding bridal images. This
may be a studio portrait or candid, black and white or color, close-up
or full length of a bride.
Referrals
As you get to know your fellow PPNO members, you will
find the organization a great place for referrals. Referrals are given
and received as one develops the confidence, respect, and friendship of
other members.
